The History of Adidas

Initially started in a wash room, no one would have expected Adidas to skyrocket like it did. Adi Dassler started up his company Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik in 1924 and began his mission to create the best possible shoes for athletes that ever were. Adidas as it is known today was officially registered in 1949, and so the famous three stripes were born. The brand gained much of its success when they supplied studded boots to the German national football team, who went on to win the 1954 World Cup final against Hungary! The 60s saw the launch of Adidas apparel and by 1970, Adidas had revolutionised televised football with the advent of the TELSTAR ball – designed to be more visible on television… The rest of the success is literally history, with Adidas taking the world by storm.
